There are two answers at least, to the question of how to view cell phone history. You are billed by your cell phone provider usually on a by the minute or per month basis and call records are kept by the company. These can be accessed by the person owning the cell phone by calling the company and requesting the records or some larger companies by logging into their web site and viewing your call history.

However, your cell phone also keeps a record of incoming and outgoing calls, with date, time, length of call and the number. This can be invaluable for many reasons and here is step by step method on accessing your cell phone records via your phone memory.

1.    Every cell phone varies in how to view cell phone call history but nearly every phone will have a menu button or icon where you choose services or applications. This is the one you will need to access first.

2.    Older phones may require you scroll from the menu and choose the applications, or tools icon that's how to view cell phone history on the older phones. Newer model cell phones make it simpler and you just scroll until you find the cell phone history button. Select ok and you should find yourself viewing a record of recent incoming and outgoing calls.

In that case you can request your call history from your cell phone company or the history can be accessed from your bill. Though online call histories are kept by some companies not all are available and you must the owner of the cell phone plan to request it.
